2022.01.20 14:19 BucKMain247 I'm sick and tired of getting recommended hate (Rant)
A little bit of a rant but in i'm a weird spot rn. No matter what I do I somehow get recommended hate. It's this new "recommend" system on reddit that shows posts from subs you don't follow. Yet somehow they pick the worst fucking posts to recommend. Oh this person follows 25 LGBTQ communities? Lets recommend this post how none of its real and they should grow up thats a good idea. I deleted Instagram for the same shit and my other social media. I'm this close to deleting reddit and living under a rock. No matter what i do on the internet some small shit always finds its ways though the cracks and ruins my day. There's other communities i want to follow that aren't even political yet people post something homophobic or transphobic trash and get upvoted. I'm so fucking done with reddit today.

2022.01.20 14:19 itslonzo__ SGBX - a wildly asymmetric (optionable) value microcap with. Trump + EV + Covid + sympathy all in one.
Imagine an optionable $27m market cap micro-float stock trading for cash value with minimum $35mil in revenue a year that has just pivoted - I kid you not - into EV charging and Covid tests while getting all the gov benefits from having had Trump Jr. involved with the company.
SG Blocks (SGBX) is a design and construction service that builds code-engineered cargo containers for sustainable commercial, industrial, and residential use. They have expanded into EV charging with a partnership with Blink (BLNK), Covid-testing with recurring revenue (before Omicron exploded and with the assistance of Donald Trump Jr.), and real-estate partnerships ranging from renewable properties to the US government.

2022.01.20 14:19 seconduc Feeling lost, donť know how to overcome crippling procrastination
Hello, I (M19) will be turning 20 in April and I've been feeling completely lost and burned out recently.
I've lost all motivation and passion and nothing meaningful makes me happy. I started to procrastinate heavily and I tend to leave every responsibility for later until it's almost too late. I've quit all hobbies that I used to enjoy and the only time I feel content is when I'm gaming with my friends, which I know isn't good for me, nor them rn as we should be focusing on school (uni). The worst part for me is that I'm very aware of the fact that I am not enjoying life rn. I have written down a list of things I would like to do and that would likely help nudge me in the right direction (e.g. reading some books on habits, procrastination, and concentration, working out, or going back to some of my hobbies) but I just can't get myself to start, which in return makes me feel even worse. And I hate going to sleep, staring at the ceiling, and being pissed at myself for wasting time and not doing anything productive.
I studied transportation economics and management in high school and I am currently almost finished with my 1st semester at uni (transportation engineering/logistics). I definitely want to get a degree but I'm not entirely sure if I want to pursue it in this field or if I'm just not enjoying it due to my current mental state. I also fear that I might not make it through some of the courses in future semesters.
I'm torn between choosing to continue at my current uni (which is prestigious and would look good on the CV + it probably is a better uni overall) or transferring to a different (less prestigious, but with more interesting subjects imo) university to study logistics (education is "free" in my country, so no accumulated student debt if I choose to transfer).
I guess I need advice on how to develop discipline to overcome procrastination and to finally start working on myself. I would also appreciate any general wisdom, advice, and experience you might have that relates to this.

2022.01.20 14:19 Space_Dragon7121 TAKE AWAYS | Interview with Maurizio Leschiutta - Program Director for BMW M LMDh
| (disclaimer: I do not speak Italian, and I am not a professional reporter, so take my conclusions here with a grain of salt. I used auto-translate captioning and a dash of intuition. If you find anything I missed or need to correct me, comment below.) |
The BMW M LMDh program is set to test their car on the track for the first time on July 25th of this year. Here are some take-aways from a recent interview with Maurizio Leschiutta, the BMW Motorsport program head. -BMW plans on using a twin-turbo 8 cylinder engine for its LMDh prototype. -BMW is "where we want to be" and "on time" with their original planned schedule. -BMW says they've chosen Dallara because of their technical achievements and their supply chain, which suits them well. Maurizio expresses pride in working with an Italian constructor for this project and says the chemistry between personnel in both partners is excellent. -BMW wants to leave the 2023 season with a major achievement in IMSA, either winning the Daytona 24 Hours or even the whole championship.
-BMW describes its program as being delayed by 6 months in comparison to its "competitors" (plural)
-BMW describes its relationship with RLL as "excellent" and their future together as "predictable," with 40 personnel in RLL and about a dozen BMW factory personnel.
-BMW confirms that a particular quirk in the design on the render that was presented - where the two kidneys have a lighted-up outline - is planned to be retained on the final race car. Design Works from California is helping considerably with the styling of the BMW LMDh, who also works on BMW's road car styling.
-BMW says they have a 50% scale model for wind tunnel analysis already made. BMW also talks about the wind tunnel analysis available for both WEC and IMSA, not specifically confirming or denying doing WEC in the future.
-BMW believes its most difficult competition for 2023's IMSA will be Porsche, expressing that if it is able to outperform them, it will be at the top.
You can watch the full interview here, where Maurizio also is asked about his history with other brands and his opinions on Formula E and F1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgyHHPDlIDg

2022.01.20 14:19 BogusBuffalo Traveling a lot for work soon, how do I make the most of this?
This isn't a permanent situation - it's a temporary one brought on by a staffing shortage in a very specialized field. This is a job literally only a handful of people in the USA & maybe the same amount of people across the world are trained in. I can't say more. I will be doing this for less than a year (unless our company runs into some major hitch) and I'm doing this with adequate & fair compensation from my company.
I'll be flying multiple times a month (likely at least once a week if not more), renting vehicles to move around, and possibly billing out meals/housing to the company. My company is totally fine with me paying everything up front and reimbursing me.
How do I make the most of this situation? I'd like to travel internationally more in the future as a specific goal, but I'm open to capitalizing on this as much as I can in the limited time frame I have. I currently have a Chase bank account and a Citi credit card but no rewards on it (got it right out of college several years ago). I have a partner who might fly with me on occasion (comped by the company as part of the incentive to do this) and will probably occasionally take a small dog (not a flight-restricted breed, under 18lbs, has flown before) with me on flights that will allow when allowed (some locations are remote and having company for the week I'm there would be nice, also comped by the company).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't really looked at this before because I'm very scared of getting into debt due to a family history of this. I've kept myself afloat and am doing well right now, it's probably high time to adult up in this way.
Thank you in advance.
